Bollocks of Beauty by Beth K HannahIf I wasn't such a time warp
Waste of damn needed minutes
And a drain on your pupils
Could I make you happy?
If I bathed myself in your mainstream gourgefest
Had popular culture tattooed on my ass
All the lyrics to the TOP 40 bands
Painted on my fingernails
Would I make you happy?
You seem so concerned with
Making me up
And throwing me down
Why is it my fault
That I riddle all the commoners
And make them blush with my obvious
Hints at desire
Why is it I try so hard?
I lock myself in cages and vaults
Just to make myself yours
I know I can't break any molds
Or turn any heads.
Do you enjoy twisting my love
Into a fashion template?
