Blazing Jar

by Leslie Ann Eisenberg

You are the tang of street vendor sweat
Sunrise scent of the local coffee bean shop
Suede of dusky rose petals scattered on a moving sidewalk
Sailing wheels singing to February rain

You are the nod of subtle service in a classy restaurant
Endless web of spinning ivy
Bewitching tender tips filling every orifice

You are the musk of puerile excitement
The weightless breath of broken promises and vanilla shaving soap
tickling the back of my neck at three am

You are the sunset of thirsty, wanton fingertips I cannot reach

Refreshing perspective. You've taken a series of snapshots, added your own perspective to them around a centralized theme, and created one of the finest verses I've seen. Great wordcraft.
