Two P.M. Rain

by S.J. Tyler

Just in time to see the rain
Splash on my window
Still got time to watch
The cars go by
Woke up to the afternoon’s,
Cloudy, grey sky
All alone, it’s gonna be a
Beautiful day

Now it’s two p.m.
And I’m nowhere near you
Now it’s two p.m.
And I’m all alone
I can feel the sky
Crash down around me
But I’m in my house
And no one else is home

All those times I had you beat
You would outrun me
Now your tired little feet
Can’t run anymore
All those shoes I wasted chasing you
Are muddy and worn out
And the rain erased your paths
To get to my house

Now it’s two p.m.
I’m singing in the rain
Now it’s two p.m.
I’m dancing with myself
I’ve forgotten
All your stupid, little competitions
And I’m sitting on my bed
Without anyone else

Never want the sun to shine down on me
Never want the sky to clear

Now it’s two p.m.
And I’m nowhere near you
Now it’s two p.m.
And I’m all alone

All alone, all alone, all alone

Now its two p.m. and I’m no where near you…

Now its two p.m. and I’m all alone…

Now it’s two p.m.
I’m singing in the rain
Now it’s two p.m.
I’m dancing with myself
I’ve forgotten
All your stupid, little competitions
And I’m sitting on my bed
Without anyone else
