this has got to be the craziest trip yet.

by Olivia Weinkein

liquid could never be my only defense.
he hides behind words
just the way i like it.
some things are easier to kill when they're
already dead.
i said that once.
i just don't remember when.
and the things you used to like about me,
i found them and set them free.
so many things plus so many things sometimes
equal alot of nothings. here you can find me.
i cover my eyes at all appropriate times.
(this has become one of those times)
because i've ran out of lives to rhyme.
existence itself is futile if you can't find what
you're existing for. i was once, for you.
but that doesn't really matter anymore.

the here and now is all that counts and
the jumbled thoughts caught in your head.
you said that once.
i just don't remember when.

You have a great way of tying the ending of this poem to the beginning. Very circular with a lot of wisdom.
