Pulse

by Ann Lauren

Falling through fallacies and failures
Of fumbling through your fingers and fancies of the faith

I won't give up on love

Bursts of instability and blunt blue tears
of bright pain and bubbling language,
Buried so harshly underneath a ground that has not
Prepared for this fresh forced death:

And it wasn't the easy thing to breathe in
And breathe out
To walk on and on and on
And not look back
Through genuine insecurity and instability
Through genuine tears and geniune faith:
Without wanting to walk back and back and back.

Through broken hearts
And broken faith,
the soft pulse of my grace
still sang: I won't give up on love.

This is an interesting alliteration, Ann, filled with hope and desire. Nice work. Peace...
