Sand Castles

by Charles J Hannan

Washed
Upon the velvet beach
Ebb tide brings your love to me
Swirling
Sea shells glisten
Daylight sparks ignite passion
Wrapped
Our bodies make one
Encased in white summer sand

Your hair falls
Gently on my cheek
My heart falls
Deeply soaring love for you
Neither of us care
To what is going on around us
Sand castles crumbling
As our earthquake erupts
Moving mountains
Smoke dances with the wind
Fire comes from within

And the tide
Cooling our engine
Steam locomotive
On tracks forever
Forever I look into those eyes
And see our emotion rise
