a love type thing or something

by Olivia Weinkein

falling in love
i am
falling out of love

a swinging door that slaps you in the face
then taunts you from behind.
one more time now.

just for the sting of it.
for the fun of it
for the
hell of it.
you're not the only one wishing on wooden
stars, wishing on more things to find worthy
of wishing on.
it takes a long time to become this dirty.

(i'd swallow you by the dozens if i could but
there's not enough time to waste away. )

there's not enough time to pretty all these scars
up.
for you and you and sometimes you when the
thrill is gone from chasing, when the passion
is ready for laying
down.
now
i am
falling in love
falling out of love
all over again

with you and you and sometimes you
over there,

i'm prettying up my scars now
for all of you to wear.

Ye gods! This is stunning; leaves me speechless.

The cycles of relationships and what they can do to you over and over again. vivid in both imagery and content. Well-expressed words of wisdom.
