Teenage Angst by Amy NiggelShe is drowning,
I see it every day
as a drop more water takes its place in her lungs.
He is failing,
I watch silently
as every moment flies by without the slightest acknowledgement.
She is being killed
every day I hear the words
once aimed so cruely at me
now tearing her to shreds in my place.
They are nearly lost now
as depression sinks its soot black talons deeper into thier souls.
Why am I the only one crying?
no one else sees what lies in front of them.
All they see is three all-American teens
three typical young adults
simply teenage angst
the doctors all claim them healthy
while thier minds slowly die from a disease
because no one can pick out darkness in the dead of night. 08/12/2003 Posted on 08/12/2003 Copyright © 2025 Amy Niggel
