impotence (in tribute to ee cummings)

by Mainon A Schwartz

I'll fake, she said
A mistake, he said
You'll like it, she said
Not like that, he said

Make it real, he said
I can't feel, she said
Try like this, he said
If you insist, she said

Is it hard, he said
Not so far, she said
Don't say that, he said
Don't say what, she said

I want you, she said
I want to, he said
Tell me how, she said
Let me show, he said

Shall I touch, he said
Not so much, she said
What about now, he said
Ow, she said

I give up, he said
I'll catch up, she said
I don't know, he said
Whoa, she said

This is it, she said
I won't quit, he said
Good, she said
But I should, he said

Don't you dare, she said
You don't care, he said
Not about you, she said
We're through, he said

But wait, she said
I hate, he said
But I..., she said
Don't lie, he said

But why, she said
Good-bye, he said

He said, she said may do ee cummings justice. Not a fan of ee I said. Who cares, she said. Enough said! :)
