[Library] Caress No Kiss

by Nikki Rice

She left the room
and there I was
I was her friend
and he was mine

Quickly I moved
to his open arm
My pulse quickened
with his caress

No guilt yet
til tomorrow I guess
My eyes closed
and I wanted --

Then she was there
my stomach dropped
She didn't see
I don't think...

She sat on my lap
like friends do
he kissed her lips
His touch still mine

Too late now
They've gone to bed
Now guilt comes
She didn't see

Author's Note: A confession from months ago? A friend and I were talking about writing about the past, and I said I never do. Thought I'd give it a try... get a little something off my chest.
