you stepped onstage

sending a shiver throughout my body

dominating, manipulating your position

up there in front of the crowd

drawing everyone's attention to you

mesmerizing us with your voice

you sing in the key of a fallen angel

your body moves fluidly

to every single beat of the music

you place me in a trance

as you scream the words

that arose from deep within your bleak heart
