Staring intently
At my Nalgene
I saw the drop descend,
Rolling from the inner rim
To the beginning of the incline
Under the mouth.
Fascinated,
But only because I am at work,
I wondered:
Will the drop fall from its current position?
Or roll down the side to join
The rest of the water molecules?

Alas,
My excitment was for naught.
For the drop rolled down the side.

It did not drop from the mouth
Drowning
Into the others.
