Stormy Haiku

by Cathlyn Cartier

Gently falling drops
making patterns in the dirt
promising rebirth.

Dark skies are forming
the sun overshadowed
the deluge begins!

Thunderclaps resound;
Windows rattle in their panes,
and the storm rages on.

The darkness lightens;
the sun, hidden no more.
The cycle is complete.

lovely, very well expressed...the only thing that seems a little out of place is the exclamation mark...but that's just me...I love it...

Capturing the whole progression in a succint and vivid way. Nicely done.

Three is my favorite. it's where the natural forces make themselves known on our human-made fortresses (rattling our windows) that we may most feel the might of nature
