I Wish for the Impossible

by Becca Morton

I wish things were the same
Just like they used to be
We wouldn't have to worry
We could still be friends

But time changes lives
Not only yours and mine
And it's clear
That we're not meant to be together

Believe me when I say this
I'm sorry for being that way
I wish I could turn back the clock
Nothing would be the same

I wish things were different
You wouldn't see me this way
I wouldn't have to live with that feeling
I wouldn't have to live in doubt

I wish you could forgive me
For all the things I did
I wish for the impossible
