Heat Wave in Lost Love (acrostic)

by Shayla R Cakes

His whispers return to me in the warm July night
Enchanting me with every breath
All memories kept exactly as they were made
They've become my lullaby

What happened to forever-lasting love
Another promise made to me, unkept
Very well, it shall be, but
Enraptured, I remain.

I haven't ceased from loving you
No matter how warm the weather gets

Lingering flames of love remain
Over the months apart without your love
Still I keep holding on
Trying to let go

Love walked out of my door
Out of my life
Very swiftly into the arms of another, but
Endless love I feel for you

i ask myself the same question. some people no matter how much they hurt you, you can't get them out of your head or your heart.
