COMA

by Lori I Wolfe

I see an image

A silhouette within the shadows

Tidal-waves devour the weak

As a ship set sail beyond reach

Caught between Earth and Sea

The undertow swallows the numb

Memories begin to fade

While the raft of hope

Drifts away into the sun

Falling deep where a lifeless

Abyss beacons a soul

Tubes of imitated veins

Fill with false promises

Undying hope awaits now

For Divine Intervention

Much feeling so strongly and vividly expressed here on a very emotional subject. Well done.

Tremendous imagery and a reminder that not everything is in our hands alone. Great read.
