She Wants To Fall

by Trisha De Gracia

S|inking with her spirit
H|olding on to nothing, willingly as
E|verything she knew just falls away.

W|ilting petals die and drift, just
A|s she floats down into the
N|othing thats been beckoning, been threatening
T|o swallow up her soul
S|he makes no grasp for the rope.

T|he day has brought her life 'til now to a point.
O|ver and over the events cling, rip away, cling, rip away.

F|orgeting what her heart felt like before
A| demon of the tainted mind caressed her
L|ovingly and soothingly, invitingly and
L|onging for the peace of dark and black she falls and drags the blade.

The acrostic is excellent, but I thin it'd be more powerful if it wasn't so obviously one.
