my return only to find...

by Ginette T Belle

I have barely snuggled into my petty existence
yet I am content to listen to his rambling mind
which to my amusement does not stop turning
and digging
and moving on
leaving little and big things behind
for later perusal

ya, sipping my beer
I am content
to listen to his voice
as he speaks of true love
going way too fast
down
a very curvy, bumpy road

sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry
