Sleepy McSleeperson (Mature)

by Madeline Pestolesi

I'm sleepy McSleeperson
Had to get up early
So got fucked up last night
Stayed up till this morning
Came to work
Drank coffee
Didn't help
Write poems
Just don't let my head drop
To the desk.
My body will lay there for years.
Discoverers will find my fleshless frame
Covered in cobwebs.
Holigrams of the White Stripes
Will play
Behind my skeleton.
Seven Nation Army.
Hotel Yorba.
But at least I will be sleeping.
And listening
to
White Stripes.
