Goth Park

by Charles J Hannan

Pale as death
Incandescent eyes staring
Vampires lie in wait
Walking as if un...dead
Moonlit patterns
Upon their lifeless faces
Hellos are drone
If any
Dark with wolves behind
Panting
Type O Negative opra house
Capes drawn
Lights down
Shadows hide from fear
Thirsty tingle in canine tooth
Raw with temptation
Another warm meal taken
Afterparty festivities of skeletons
Clanking bones swaying
Flesh melting
With dessert darkness chocolate
A taste so bitter-sweet
Never dying from exposure
Sun will capture weakness
As the rays stray across
The fleeing masses
Earthbound for shelter
While the living rise
From slumber solitude

Oh my...vampire time! It's not the halloween season yet, is it? Creepy fun read!
