To Last For All time

by Thomas K. Hunt

I’ve opened up my soul
My heart, my mind
Poured them onto pages
To last for all time

Deep within myself
My thoughts speak to me
It’s time to bring them out
It’s time to set them free

Visions stored in my minds eye
Float across the pages
I watch them fill the empty sheets
Recording my different stages

Some have brought real pleasure
While others were unkind
Some have shown the truth
That’s, been hard to find

Don’t judge the author
No labels needed here
No harm was ever meant
No one should ever fear

It could be the proxy
For the ending of my name
A slow burning fire
That’s sure to lose its flame

Here it is for all to see
This life that I call mine
Laid out in black and white
To last for all time

My god, this was like reading a part of myself. It is sweet to read those experiences that have made us who we are. It is the personal triumph that is so satisfying..thank you for representing this shared quality.

An immortalization of the immortalizations authors do when they write! (if what I said makes any sense at all... hehe) Wonderful
