MySummerDays by Trisha De GraciaRainy days slip through my fingers
dripdripdrip
the summer days are here,
almost too soon
and way past fleeting.
Bronzed skin,
brown eyes,
She's smiling back
at herself.
The summer days are here-
Her smile's an unfaltering gaze.
Of all the pretty ones you never chose
I'll be the one you'll miss the most
Skipskipskip
the summer days are here.
Sun-drenched smooth sand
and the glow of a orange
dipped below the tides,
pretty girl all dressed in red
swishes past with more than you gave her
at first glance.
heatrises
the summer days are here
and she is the mirage
you thought you never saw.
