Dear Butterfly

by Beth K Hannah

I envy your grace and beauty
Your untouched innocence
Sweet seduction
And unaffected movements
Stylish prose
And sensational ability to
Mingle with rainbows

I'm stuck on Earth
Attached to a wallet
To my curtains and sofa
A nonexisting happiness
And my own fears of flying

Please lovely fey,
How do I grow my own wings?

Very beautifully, though also sadly expressed. I liked alot of the imagery here, esp. "mingling with rainbows" and the phrase "attached to a wallet" says so much. Very well written.

Beautiful imagery! I like the way you word things too, like "Sweet seduction", beautiful!

A lovely fantasy with a dash of sadness, makes for a great poem.
