Superimposed Worry Release by Amanda L Marronmusic echoes through my head
as i bang it to the beat
my voice screams the words
that i know by heart
back at the lyricist
belting out the notes on stage
tears surge out my eyes
forming twin-rivers down my cheeks
your utterance hitting my soul
releasing all the constant worry
superimposed inside 07/05/2003 Author's Note: concerts are a significant part of my life. they are a big release for me, a stress relief.

Posted by Richard Paez on 09/08/04 at 09:36 PM This is a great expression of what it is like to be pressed up against those metal bars at a concert; reminds me of how I felt at my first Tool show and my second Metallica show. The only thing missing from here is the crackling in my ears. This is what live music is all about and you caught it on paper--great job! |
