The Mirror Tells No Lies by Jersey D GibsonTake a good look,
guess what I see?
I see everything,
that makes up me.
I'm not tall enough,
and I'm too fat.
My hair doesn't cooperate,
I look silly in a hat.
All my imperfections,
are magnified by 10.
A few skin blemishes,
and I'll cluck like a hen.
Of course, you don't see that,
you don't look in my mirror.
You have your own demoralizer,
for you to see and hear. 07/02/2003 Posted on 07/03/2003 Copyright © 2024 Jersey D Gibson

Posted by Adrian Calhoun on 07/03/03 at 03:49 AM A good insightful piece. A sad but all too true fact these days, youth with low self-esteem. Nothing I can say will change your view of yourself, only you can do that. However I think your an alright guy. Don't sell yourself too short, the only person in life you can count on is you. |

Good one. I agree with Adrian. Don't be so hard on yourself. If we all looked alike, it would make for a boring world. Jean |
