Emptiness

by Amanda J Cobb

An amusement,
a distraction.
Passing fancy,
passing heat.

They don't fill the emptiness;
it just gets bigger.

The emptiness of physical attraction without the substance of love or caring to back it up. The passion merely burns a bigger hole in which to put nothing.... wow. great poem.
