sleepwalking soul

by Indigo Tempesta

i'm alive, i flow, i've
nowhere to go. this
night, i glow; i'm
sleepwalking soul.

the stars, they're me, they're
nothing like dreams. those
dreams, they sing, and
singing is free.

the stars are kind tonight
maybe you and i can softly
waltz among their musings til
we make our bed of shine.

my family sleeps in carolina
in beds made of light
the moonshine is comfort
and keeps them through the night

when i wake in my old home
i'm soft and brand new
the night of my old home
is keeping me, too.
