again and again and again....

by Olivia Weinkein

you're on fire.
all the blue in the world could
never drown you out.
i hate you because of your
willingness
to be hated.
and i love you because of your
willingness
not to be
loved.
and i find myself following your
shadow down the dark paths
you leave in my head.
are you there?
are you there yet?
with me now, loving me now?
and i move closer because of
your willingness to back away.
show me again,
i wanna learn again how it feels
to have someone leave me cold,
leave me lonely, because i am
just so very willing
to be hurt again.

This poem leads the reader down a dark path. Beautifully written with dark emotion.

Wow, I hate that kind of oxy-moron love. Way too agravating. This puts it so perfectly.
