From "Green Line Poems"

by Bruce W Niedt

Inconsequence:

a dirty green grape

      rolls around the floor

between the girl across from me

           and back again

      only to be caught

                      in a lump of string

and crushed beneath a woman’s foot,

      the journey thus ended.

I like it...provides alot of room for the reader to imagine the scene for themselves. I could see the grape making it's way across the floor. I like poems that are simple yet evocative.
