Faith

by Max Bouillet

Faith is a misplaced
forget-me-not
in the pocket
of a confused angel
begging for change
in front of the pharmacy
where a woman was raped
and a kid was shot.

You called one of my poems cynical and I'm returning the description. Never having been a very faith-oriented person to begin with, I can agree with this all too easily, much as that saddens me. Well written.

This speaks volumes about today's society in more ways than one. Expertly crafted.
