Trapped again this fearful cage
Trapped again with all this rage
Lock this heart behind the wall
Lock it up tight and forget the fall
All time does is weaken my strength
All time does is temper rods length
So I grow content with my prison
So spirit riven in metaphysical schism
A person torn in paucity of mind
A person torn apart before and behind
"Just let it go…" is the all spoken refrain
"Just let it go…" just from speaking abstain
That brought you to this place
That brought you back to the torture's embrace
Love the self-pity and it's melodic response
Love the still languishing chorus it flaunts
Revel in music of hurt's fluted remembrance
Revel in the anguish of this festive dance
Long has it festered this calloused sore's beauty
Long has it brought forth the fruit of it's duty
A bittersweet morsel innocent rebel tasted
A bittersweet morsel canst never be wasted
Once down the path desire that first lightly is tread
Once down this path; fell the road and the bread
Never can be forgotten this action this course
Never can be returned that cursed morsel's force
So down ever down is this lane ever trod
So desire, begets lust (a demanding red god)
The cup ever empty, the thirst evermore
The cup never leaves, nor the thirst in it's store
So leave all you who barter peace
So leave all you who call of joy's release
For you are those who spoke these words
For you are those who ears never heard
"Hate, anger, rage, monster, defiled, fear…
"Hate, discord, jealousy" in me appear
Give us the smile, the laugh, the joy…
Give us the happy, content, little boy
That boy is dead he will never return
That boy is dead in his place is the spurned
There is no one who can ever explain
There is no one who wants to hear pain
The backs turned upon those who break
The backs turned upon this mistake
So cursed if you do, cursed if you don't
So cursed if you loved, cursed if you won't
Trapped in this cycle ever present the rage
Trapped in this life and this ever cursed cage
Can you see my eyes through the bars
Can you see me perform from afar
Laugh to see this animal display
Laugh while you see me, watch and I'll pray
Pray that one day I'll get out of this cage
Pray that one day, no more buried rage
But there is no hope so that prayer's in vain
