wading

by Lisa-Dawn Sparling

Sinking into a sea of tranquility
I see your arms wrapped tightly around her,
Her blond hair swimming in your face.
Her rosy cheeks against your fur.

You give her so much love,
You can see it reflect in her eyes so blue,
The fear I had of loving again,
Changed when I met you.

I never dreamed I would have a new family,
You turned my whole life upside down.
All the walls I had built so high,
Came crashing to the ground.

And as I wade into these waters,
Cautious not to swim so deep,
I feel the exhilaration of the journey,
As I sit here and watch you sleep.

The rythym, the rhyme, the message, all wonderfully done, straight from the heart!

Hi Lisa, It's beautiful. Your love for your new family. Your hubby holding your daughter, sound to sleep. Time for a picture. Jean
