Bones Within a Closet

by Thomas K. Hunt

There's a life inside of me
Hidden in the darkness
Separate from what you see
Nothing like my likeness

It's far from sight and most obscure
For the benefit of all
It's well secured you can be assured
It's safe behind my wall

Understood by many
Accepted by a few
Shunned by the majority
It is nothing new

Bones within a closet
Locked behind the door
Peeking through the keyhole
Hoping for so much more

Excellent write. You put to words feelings, that I'm sure, many of us can relate to. Great work.
