Waiting is the hardest part
not the waiting to see
or hear
or feel
the waiting to know
the indefinite time
that seems to span forever
the not knowing when I am waiting for
is it an hour
a day
a month
how long am I to wait patiently
as the rain pours down around me.
how long until the umbrella gives way?
