Praise To Him

by Michelle Calhoun

I thank you Heavenly Father
for our church so dear.
For when we sing and worship you,
we feel your spirit near.
Your blessings fill this Holy house,
your spirit fills our souls,
from every hair atop our heads,
to the tips of our very toes.
Your peace is deep within us,
and it surrounds us in this place.
For when we come to worship you,
We seek your Holy face.
Although there are so few of us,
your vision here is clear.
We shall go forth and spread your gospel
to unsaved souls so near.
Your promise is everlasting,
so as we strive to please,
help us reach that mountaintop
while we pray on bended knees.

Amen indeed! An inspirational piece. God is for sure awesome in this place! Well written, heartfelt poem. The presence of God was felt that night by all who were there.
