useless (unfinished i think)

by Olivia Weinkein

break me in half
my insides are gum enough
to keep you alive.
but the answers have always been
written on walls, written on the ropes
we hang ourselves with, written in the
stars we hide ourselves from.

it's no great mystery.

i piece together insanities, everytime i've
heard the word no and every time i've
heard yes but it's all a chain reaction and
yesterday is looking better than tomorrow
ever will. and the whole point of this may
be like aiming with an unloaded gun, but
i promise i am still aiming with intention to
kill.

some things just fall apart, appropriately.

and trust me,
it's no great mystery.
