Mind in a Blender

by Ryan M Evon

I run
visions that haunt my sleep and twist my view
bore kin
holes through each temple to release a demon, three is two too many
speak her
mind to open back up and let me be near, be here, be there
sore ee
I couldn’t be what you wanted, but isn’t the I that I am good enough
n urge ee
to keep moving past scrap heap dreams and scabbed hopes
spoke in
words trapped inside fort of doubt and sadness
pay per
roof only a façade of protection from blistering rain
drive her
mind to come back and let me be near, be here, be anywhere
lay zee
heart isn’t drowning in ache yet, but it will be neck deep soon
less tin
to every inaudible word, they are the most important
all ee
sun once so bright, blackened behind confused clouds
