How hard should it be to let go of your mother?
I seem to have done it easy enough.
I know her, but don't understand
I feel her, but don't touch
I ignore her and don't care.
But she's your mother! Yeah, she's my mother.
Twisted, addicted, enraged, apathetic, pathetic,
self-centered, self-serving, self-destructing and cold.
So I let go.

How hard should it be to disown your sister?
I seem to have done it fairly quickly.
I see her, but don't look
I hear her, but don't listen
I ignore her and don't care.
But she's your sister! Yeah, I'm her brother
who she didn't mind exploiting, ignoring,
using, deceiving, forgetting, pilfering,
disappointing and leaving alone.
So I let go.

Decided I don't need it in my life,
my mind, my heart, my soul, my energy,
my hate, myself...my release
