Colors Of My Life

by Thomas K. Hunt

I feel the colors of my life
Mostly greens and blues
Sometimes a hint of red
Can you feel them too?

Green feels like living
Being part of the earth
Constantly growing life
From the day of your birth

The smell of freshness
Forests blanket the vast
Green feels like living
You hope for green to last

Blue is the deepest color
At times feels very cold
It leaves you feeling helpless
Down in the deepest hole

It feels like hurt, an empty kind
Deep within your being
The only color that travels your mind
Blue is not worth seeing

Don't forget the hint of red
A bit of anger felt by all
Some more than others
I prefer to keep mine small

Dominated by nature
Driven by the soul
Red can be a good thing
If kept under control

I feel the colors of my life
Mostly greens and blues
Sometimes a hint of red
Can you now feel them too?

Excellent work, wounderful words. You share the shades of your life beautifully.

A rainbow of emotion... well crafted.
