On the other side of the path
I always thought it was sunnier
I thought I could be more arrogant,
I didn't realize I would feel so guilty,
Yet so desperate to avoid you.
Though as I did,
I sadly remembered all the times I have been avoided
When all I wanted was the truth
So with a sigh,
I take off my regular glasses
and put on my sunglasses.
Because it's sunnier on this side,
But it's giving me a sunburn.
