Sevilla by Alan MahoodThe accordian is playing
Out of tune,
But the gypsy doesn't care,
The riders on the
Midrid number nine
Subway line cringe a little,
And some change cars,
But the black haired guapa
Across the aisle smiles
And that's as good as it gets
For an Anglo lost in
Espanya, so I sing
Off key and the gypsy
Plays louder,
More people exit at each stop
Until only the
Senorita, the gypsy, and the bad
Singer remain,
Then the senorita leaves,
The accordian player changes cars
And I am left alone until my stop,
Sevilla.
