Canyon Chorus by Karl WaldbauerBlack satin sheets
slicker than Luis,
the darkly handsome hustler
I used to know.
A blindfold and cuffs
to add more mystery
to the primal
and inexplicable
dance of life.
Your warm mouth
making me more
alive
than I've ever been.
Sighs and moans
surpassing in beauty
Beethoven's ninth symphony
with a full operatic chorus.
These memories
take me back
to the night
I sat on your porch
and listened to the coyotes' song
echo through the canyon.
