You're Not You by Ryan M EvonHad a dream of who you were
Loved the idea of what you could be
Wanted to touch the imagined you
Right before the nightmare took me
Escape to a distant star
With you right next to me
Picking flowers on Jupiter
Your shell cracks open and I see
You're not you
Face to facade we don't seem real
Dream has crumbled into sand
Told you, I dream I love you
Then you burn up in my hand
Touching my heart you smile
Floating just above my bed
Reach out to caress you
Then you just fuck with my head
You're not you
Or anything like
You're not you
My dream was wrong
You are not you
And weren't all along

It's good, except for the f word, without better.
Love can be a pain sometimes. Dreams can be strange, & seem to play tricks on you, sorta. Jean |
