Wandering In The Jungle by Kate Demeree
He tells me not to love him, Said to keep it light, I struggle not to want Not to need Knowing he Wishes to be freed Not just from commitment, But guilt, and responsibility While I hope The one thing he wishes Not to be free of Is me
Some nights are long Lonely things Where I lay in bed alone The memory of his warmth The sensual feel of his touch Echoes of his words And eyes, for company Wandering through the jungle Of my mind
Others are steamy Wandering through The sensual jungle terrain Of the man for whom I will refrain From saying I love you Instead, it is what I do
