Our Wall

by Ryan M Evon

On the line I draw between
you and me, each inch will
include all our faults.

Each fight or argument stays
as a part of the line,
and it grows thicker.

A line drawn in pencil, now
cements, building itself higher
until we can't see.

On my side I carve in words
that remind me of you.
What are you doing?

Author's Note: Many relationships hit that point where a "wall" of sorts is dividing the two people. Whether or not you can break it down is proof of how strong the love is.

This is a really nice piece. I am glad I came across this.
