The World's Tragedy

by Jessica Yen

I'm falling
Crawling
Left on the floor
All alone.

I'm pushed around
Put in places
That I can't be found
Hidden from the world to see.

I'm the world's tragedy.

I'm the rebel
Who went too far
I'm the one who still believes
in being honest--
truthful

Where did that get me?
Crawling by myself
Lonliness surrounding me
And I still don't understand how

I'm the world's tragedy.

Here's my life
Allow me to pour it out
Pick at it
Leave it
Lying on the ground.

Kill it
Kick me
Pull me everywhere

On the ground
No one needs me.

Left alone
To be

The World's Tragedy.
