you asked for the remote

by Kalikala Smith

i took it for granted
the sweet summer rain
it took me and chanted
you asked for the remote
and i gave you my shoe
who's to blame?
when hearts are at stake
and you're alone in the crowd
will there be anyone to help you up
when you've fallen down?
you asked for the remote
and i gave you the blues
"help me get my feet back on the ground"
does anything make any sense anymore?
too much caffiene in the system
can cause gauze to fall
and wounds thick refoil they're plans
for ultimate destruction of the skin.
you asked for the remote
and it's my channel on all the stations
loud and clear.
can you hear?
i'm going to bed,
and you can have the remote.

Author's Note: this is/was/will be some sort of strange rambling type thing. i think i just took the title and ran with it. one shouldn't try and write while caffienated... at least this one shouldn't
