a little.

by Lisa-Dawn Sparling

I’m not trying to cause any harm,
I just want to help you,
As a friend,
I just want to ease the pain for you,
Just a little.
I hope if I needed you,
You would do the same.
I don’t want to feel,
In the middle.
I just want you to feel better,
I’m not good at standing by,
And watching others suffer.
I just want to pick you up a little
I would want someone to pick me up
If I had fallen.
I guess if you put yourself in the line of fire,
That you’re bound to feel the fragments of the bullets
Please I don’t mean any harm….
I just want you to know I am here,
As a friend,
To try and ease your pain a little.

Hi Lisa, I just read your poem, it's lovely. that's what friends are for. Being there for each other. I thank the Lord for my best friend. Yet, some people don't get it. Very good. Peace & Joy, Jean
