A LittleToo Far Gone

by Charles J Hannan

Driving toward lights
Not really seeing
Curves become strait lines
Unfolding like memories
Tires desperately trying
To
Hold
The
Road

Why

Don't I just let go
Free my......self
Painful torment
I put my wipers on
For rain/tears
Soaked in misery
Searching for something
Fueled by
A love I can never have
Teenageless
Time forgot
Father forgive me
Wherever you are
For not becoming
Responsible

For this retreat
For letting go
And falling

Tragic consequences of misplaced love. All too often seen in our culture today. You write sparingly and forcefully.
