oblivious

by Lisa-Dawn Sparling

You are so oblivious of all the wreckage you leave behind,
And to the consequences of your actions,
You live in a self revolving,
And self centered world.
Do you even taste the venom anymore?
That seeps from your mouth?
It’s that sweet taste that you think is a victory,
That is killing the hearts of all the victims,
That you call friends.
You are so self indulgent and manipulative,
I can’t believe that I was almost one of your fatalities,
I am lucky that I tasted the poison soon enough to spit it out.
